I uninstalled WMP and now when the button is pressed, Spotify opens as usual, but it seems that the button attempts to run 'shell32.dll' and opens a dialogue box because it does not know what application to open the dll with. It used to open up both Spotify AND Windows Media Player. However, on my keyboard there is a Media button that opens up the media player. Play/Pause/Stop/Forward Track/Backward Track all work, because they simply change the track on any open media player. That question is this: How do you set Spotify as your default media player? By this, I mean specifically how do you get a media button on a keyboard to open up Spotify. In Default apps screen, click on current music player name below Music Player and select your new music player from Choose an App selection window.
